Awaken Your Soul

After fourteen years in financial services/ banking, with by a BA in psychology, I found myself questioning everything around me.

 

I always felt different — the black sheep.

When I challenged the narrative, I was told to stay quiet, not to ask questions, don't to point out the purple elephant in the room. Shh. 

 

I learned early that if I didn’t follow the script, I was labeled crazy, too emotional, too sensitive. Over time I perceived these words as true. I allowed these ideas to redefine me, and alter the version I presented to the world. Inside, I was dying. I dimmed my light to allow others to shine bright; until I no longer had my own light. 

 

I lost my financial stability, my family, my friends, but mainly I realized I had lost myself.  From that darkness, I had no choice but to start from the bottom and rebuild. 

 

In order to awaken; you will lose everything you fear to lose.
